Angela Edney
Director of Clinical Services
Angela Edney Angela has been a licensed occupational therapist
for 25 years and holds a masters degree in administration with a
concentration in health services. She is currently the Regional
Director of Clinical Services for a six state region at Aegis
Therapies. Her primary responsibility in this position, one she’s
held for 12 years, is serving as a clinical resource and directing
the clinical programs in speech-language pathology, occupational
therapy and physical therapy. Angela has spoken at many
conferences, written numerous articles and won two prestigious
awards for her work with the Allen Cognitive Model.
Teaching and mentoring others is what Angela loves best about
her work at Aegis Therapies. “Developing and teaching programs
gives me the opportunity to create new treatment strategies that,
in turn, helps enhance the lives of our patients,” explains Angela.
“The clinical leader program I helped to develop in my region is
designed to recognize and mentor our clinical experts. These
clinical leaders are then used to mentor other therapists,” says
Angela.
Angela believes the key drivers to providing excellent service
to patients and residents are access to exceptional clinical
education and working together with other staff like nursing.
“We have developed the ICE program in my area, which stands for
Integrated Clinical Enhancement. With this approach, both of our
therapy and nursing staffs roll out programs together, a
collaboration that has helped facilitate more successful
outcomes.
Angela has been at Aegis Therapies for 16 years and values the
continued training and development she still receives. “I have
learned so much at this company,” says Angela.
