Shannon Liem, MS, CCC-SLP, graduated from Florida State University with a master’s degree in Communications Disorders. She is a licensed speech‐language pathologist in the state of
Florida and has been in practice for more than 26 years. She has experience in acute care, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient and home health. Shannon has been employed by Aegis
Therapies for the last 28 years and currently serves as a National Clinical Director for Home Health providing support for clinical programming, compliance and regulatory
updates within the home health environment. She is COS‐C certified since 2015.
James Kehinde, PT, DPT, is a Clinical Practice Specialist with Aegis Therapies. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from College of Medicine, University of Lagos in Nigeria and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Widener University. As a Clinical Practice Specialist, he covers multiple facilities within the state of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Massachusetts and assists physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech‐language pathologists in implementing clinical programs to benefit long‐term care residents. He has experience in training complex disease management and ensuring that the program is integrated into the facility. James is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Alka Mehra, OTR, CLT, received her Occupational Therapy Degree from Delhi, India, in 1986 and has practiced in a variety of settings, including hospital, acute rehabilitation, home care and outpatient. She has specialized in sub‐acute/TCU/long‐term care since 1995. She started working with Aegis Therapies in 2013 as a Clinical Practice Specialist and supports clinical programs in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and South Dakota. She is certified in Lymphedema therapy and in providing LSVT BIG. She provides patient care in multiple facilities as well as continuing education courses in dementia, balance & falls management, continence management, mental health, seating & positioning and complex disease management.
Sunit Kapoor, DPT/GCS, graduated from the Loma Linda University in Southern California in 2010. He joined Aegis in 2012 as a staff physical therapist and was promoted to
advanced practice specialist in 2015 and to clinical practice specialist in 2016. In pursuit of higher education, he completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2017 from the University of Montana and became board certified in Geriatrics through APTA. In his current role as clinical practice specialist, Sunit provides general clinical support to Aegis staff across multiple sites. He ifrequently mentors new staff members and students. Sunit has presented on multiple topics, including falls and balance, complex disease management, wound management and geriatric enchanted modalities and helps implement these programs across various sites.
