In Honor of National Skilled Nursing Care Week

May 10 – 16 is National Skilled Nursing Care Week (NSNCW), and on behalf of everyone at Aegis Therapies, I would like to take this opportunity to honor and recognize the essential role skilled nursing care centers play in taking care of our nation’s most vulnerable population.

This year, more than ever, it is important that we take a moment to recognize the work of every staff member in our skilled nursing facilities. Every day, these incredible people bring hope, independence and joy to our frail, elderly and disabled populations.

Right now, skilled nursing staff are also selflessly answering the call to innovate in the face of unprecedented challenge. Skilled nursing teams are finding ways to celebrate, connect and bring normalcy to residents in the middle of COVID-19, while still maintaining the critical daily care their patients need. At Aegis Therapies, we are honored to partner with our skilled nursing facilities in this important mission.

This is a trying time for everyone – and even our superheroes need a break. So, in the spirit of self-care, we have compiled seven wellness activities – one for each day of the week – for our incredible skilled nursing care staff to enjoy in celebration of NSNCW.

While we can’t come give you a well-earned hug, or shake your hand, we wanted to do something to show our gratitude for the work you do. These activities are all about ten minutes or less and hosted by our wellness teams at EnerG by Aegis, who will guide you through the steps needed to help relax, recharge and even laugh.

We hope you all enjoy a wellness break this week.

Thank you, for everything you do, and happy #NSNCW!
