Martha Schram, PT, is the President & CEO of Aegis Therapies, a national provider of contract rehabilitation, home health, outpatient and wellness services primarily in post-acute healthcare settings. Ms. Schram has devoted her career to geriatrics in various capacities. She collaborated with the University of Wisconsin in establishing an interdisciplinary geriatric fellowship program and worked with Veterans Affairs (VA) to develop a model of care for veterans at home. Currently leading Aegis Therapies, Ms. Schram is committed to providing innovative, setting-agnostic and quality care across the industry. From a policy perspective, she is a staunch patient advocate. She has held leadership roles within ADVION (formerly The National Association for the Support of Long-Term Care) for over a decade, including serving as President of the Board of Directors. In addition, she is a member of the Industry Advisory Board for the International Council on Active Aging (ICAA). A graduate of the University of Colorado in Physical Therapy, Ms. Schram chairs the University of Colorado Physical Therapy Philanthropy and Advisory Council. Dawn Greaves, PT, has 41 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, specializing in senior care across the post-acute spectrum, including 15 years in home health. She joined Aegis Therapies in 2011 as Clinical Director for Home Health, advancing to Vice President and eventually being promoted to Chief Clinical and Innovation Officer. In her role, Ms. Greaves brings a fresh perspective and innovative solutions to the company. She focuses on championing emerging solutions such as care extender models and empowering therapists to prioritize top-of-license care while delivering value-based care through personalized approaches. Mark Besch, BS, PT, is a Physical Therapist with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a certificate in Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa. He has extensive clinical and operational management experience in various settings, including acute care. Mr. Besch has held operations, clinical supervision and staff training and development positions. He is the senior specialist for Government Affairs and Analytics for Aegis Therapies. Previously, he was Chief Clinical Officer for Aegis. Since 1987, Mr. Besch has specialized in senior health and wellness in-home care, long-term care, and senior housing settings and has broad experience with clinical program development, training and implementation. He is actively involved in legislative and regulatory advocacy with ADVION, a trade association whose member companies provide care and services in long-term and post-acute care settings. Mr. Besch has conducted numerous presentations at local, state and national levels. Additionally, he is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, its Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy and the Academy of Leadership and Innovation. Don Biggs, OT, has more than 29 years of experience in healthcare, with 28 of those years spent at Aegis Therapies. As the Chief Operating Officer of the Contract Rehabilitation Division, Mr. Biggs is responsible for all clinical and operational oversight within the division, which includes Continuing Care Retirement Communities, Skilled Nursing Centers, Acute Hospitals, Home Health, and wellness programming. He leads a team of Regional Vice Presidents, Regional Clinical Directors, and support staff in providing rehabilitation services to ensure top-quality care for each of their partners. Mr. Biggs graduated from Creighton University’s Occupational Therapy Program in Omaha, Nebraska, with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy.
