Sara Ochoa, PT, MOMT, CLT, is a physical therapist and Advanced Practice Specialist at Aegis Therapies. She acts as a change agent to promote evidence-based practice and fosters critical inquiry among therapy teams. She is also a key stakeholder manager and collaborator who ensures effective communication and collaboration. With her expertise and mentorship, Sara helps her colleagues provide high-quality care to their patients. Stephanie Schild, OTD, MS OTR/L, is a Regional Clinical Director at Aegis Therapies. She has been with the company for over 15 years and oversees clinical services in South Dakota and southwest Minnesota. With over 20 years of clinical experience, Stephanie has worked in various settings, including inpatient rehab, acute care, home care, outpatient, sub-acute rehab and older adults in skilled nursing facilities and long-term care. Stephanie has a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Rocky Mountain University, a specialty track in Geriatrics and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of South Dakota. She’s been an active member of several task forces within Aegis Therapies and played a crucial role in program development. As a program trainer for over ten years, Stephanie specializes in complex disease management, documentation, patient identification, balance management, scope of practice, dementia/cognitive management and geriatric strength training. Jessica EvansCOTA/L DOR, has been a Director of Rehabilitation with Aegis Therapies since 2022 and a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant since 2010. She graduated from Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, IL, and started her career as a travel therapist. Throughout her career, she has worked in various skilled nursing facilities and with several clinicians, which has helped her develop a passion for working with the geriatric population and SNF setting. Her areas of expertise include aging in place, fall prevention and energy conservation. Jessica Evans is a salaried employee of Aegis Therapies and has no other relevant financial or non-financial relationships to disclose.

Connie Peace, PTA, CDP, is the Director of Rehab and holds a PTA degree from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Health Science from Grand Canyon University. With 25 years of experience as a PTA, she is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and has received extensive training in Myofascial Release. Connie has worked in various settings, such as acute rehab, outpatient, home care and long-term care.
