Restorative Program Training

Aegis firmly believes in collaboration between rehab and nursing services for handoff and carryover of care to sustain patients at their highest level. We will work with you to develop and train restorative personnel to meet the needs of your residents, which may include ADLs, functional mobility, cognition or dining programs. We utilize a standard training approach for your restorative teams that involves a self-assessment, competency checklist and training and a proficiency check off.

Through orientation and annual training, Aegis staff learn about regulatory requirements and receive a Medicare and Medicaid overview that includes restorative nursing and rehab collaboration. Aegis has a full Restorative Aide training manual and program that we use to train staff. We also have teams across the country that are trained in collaboration with providers in the state-specific details of the Medicaid Case Mix Index (CMI) process.
